Bill founded Mainsail with a passion forged from the tragedy of personal loss. After realizing that true independent, unbiased advice was not readily available after the tragic passing of his father (himself a business owner), Bill was called into becoming a source for information and advice to families unfamiliar with the opaque and often times corrupt nature of the financial services industry.

Bill's passion quickly grew beyond the basics of financial planning and into the specialized niche of advanced planning for business owners.  The process he developed goes beyond investment consulting and includes wealth enhancement + wealth transfer + charitable planning.  Each of these areas include multiple subsets in which the Mainsail process drives value to its client families.

Bill recognizes that the health and happiness of the individual, their family, and the business are inextricably linked and can only be impacted by working on the global relationships between these three key areas. His goal is to create the "missing advisor" for owners to work with across disciplines.

Bill is a fan of anything that flies and floats and as such is an avid pilot and fisherman. His one retirement goal is for his primary mode of transportation to have a propeller.

Drew is an experienced CPA who cut his teeth in the field of business advisory at multiple prominent regional firms prior to becoming part of the team at Mainsail.  He is skilled in advising clients regarding business valuation, advanced tax minimization strategies and tactics, and integrated business and personal financial planning for the entrepreneurial household.

Drew is a proponent of being business casual all week and putting on your finest each Sunday in church.

Drew's diverse skill set is critical to the process of becoming the central advisor to each of our client families.  We call him the "Swiss Army Knife for your Financial Life."  When he doesn't already know the answer he will find it directly for you.

Drew has a veritable alphabet soup of credentials behind his name but his best attribute is his ability to boil the complex interdependent and multivariate relationships of his client's financial situation into simple implementable action plans.

Brandon joined Mainsail Asset Management in 2024 and serves as a wealth management advisor and business development manager.  Prior to joining Mainsail Asset Management, he worked for a national investment firm.  He also spent 18 years in the medical device industry with two fortune 500 companies.   Brandon proudly served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps with overseas deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.  Brandon is a native Texan and a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in business administration.    

Brandon is passionate about gaining a deep understanding of each client’s unique set of goals.  He strives to simplify the decision-making process with a roadmap that empowers his clients to have confidence in their future.   He prioritizes client education, so the financial journey is one of shared understanding that will deliver clarity and peace of mind.  

Outside of work, Brandon is a true outdoorsman.  He enjoys skiing out west with his wife Ashley and daughter Katherine.  He is trying to master pickle ball, and he loves a day in the woods hunting on his family farm.

Kelly brings organizational efficiency to the sometimes chaotic and fast moving world of the business owner. Kelly earned her designations as a FPQP™, and an aPHR®. Kelly specializes in making things easy and efficient for clients to implement and execute the strategies and tactics identified and by the advisory team. Kelly is a transplant from Chicago and joined Mainsail in 2014 directly from one of the largest independent advisory firms in the nation. She has been in the RIA world since 2004. Her insights on working within a small and specifically defined niche as opposed to operating as an investment generalist are very helpful for both clients and the internal team.

Kelly is a Chicago Cubs Fan and a lover of all things Italian, consistent with her family heritage.
